Our counselling service is free and confidential, and normally involves one face to face session per week, for as long as you and your counsellor agree that it will be useful to continue.

We provide counselling for adults and children who have experienced rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence as well as for family members and those who care for them.

We have comfortable counselling facilities in our premises in Rugby, and also use a range of other venues in communities across Warwickshire. Counselling offers a time to explore feelings and talk through difficulties and experiences in a safe, private and non-judgmental environment.

We have a team of counsellors and therapists who are skilled in a range of counselling approaches, including person-centred therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy, as well as creative approaches and art therapy.

If you would like counselling, we will arrange an initial appointment to discuss your needs with an experienced therapist, and you will then be referred for appropriate ongoing support.

‘I’m much stronger and in control of my life. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come. I’m so grateful for the support and knowledge you’ve given me.’

‘My counsellor was compassionate and understanding. She gave me the confidence to go out and be normal again.’

‘Thank you for taking time to help me put things into perspective. I feel more relaxed now and I feel there is some hope.’

I have found the organisation to be indispensable to me. My ISVA is particularly good as she helps me with all manner of practical day to day requirements. She is very professional and has a depth of knowledge which I find reassuring. I have used other support services, and without a doubt RoSA is by far the best.

I would like to say Thank you to all at RoSA that has helped me through this difficult journey. I applaud all of you for doing what you do. You are angels living on earth.

Male survivor
Thank you very, very much for yesterday, being so patient and encouraging and allowing me the space to go to the Club, in the way I wanted. It made such a difference, and yes, really glad I did it and enjoyed myself.
