RoSA holds a quality endorsement licence with the Open College Network West Midlands and provides a comprehensive training programme to equip Volunteers with the relevant skills necessary to meet the complex needs of our clients. We are looking for caring and dedicated people who want to offer their time to support clients and their families.
The initial training helps RoSA volunteers to understand the main philosophy and the aims of our charity as well as supporting everyone with the knowledge and skills needed to provide the high standards of the service we offer.
The training consists of an induction to RoSA, workshops and lectures and additional training for professional development.
Our training programme covers topics such as:
- Impact of rape & sexual abuse
- Grooming process
- Mental health issues
- Dissociation & flashbacks
- Inner child work
- Counselling skills practice
- Safeguarding and confidentiality

All participants receive an interview before the course as well as on completion.
